- Mobile network coverage varies: Srinagar and Pahalgam have good 4G coverage; Gulmarg has moderate coverage; Sonmarg and high-altitude areas may have limited or no signal.
- BSNL prepaid SIM cards often have better connectivity in remote areas of Kashmir compared to private telecom providers.
- The Tourist Police in Srinagar has English-speaking staff trained specifically to assist foreign national tourists.
- During Amarnath Yatra (JulyβAugust), Pahalgam and Sonamarg areas see heavy tourist traffic. Government helpdesks are set up along the Yatra route during this period.
