Trivilio Journey

Kashmir, For Two

A Kashmir Journey shaped around the two of you.

Kashmir can be romantic without being scripted.

Whether you're travelling for your honeymoon, anniversary, a special occasion, or simply some time together, we design the Journey around what the two of you enjoy.

Your pace. Your interests. Your kind of stay. Your idea of a memorable Kashmir.

Not a honeymoon package. A Journey made for two.

Start Designing Your JourneySee an Example Journey

What Does Kashmir Feel Like When It Is Designed Around Two People?

A couple's Journey isn't necessarily about doing more romantic things.

Sometimes it is about having more time together.

A slower morning. A beautiful view. A long drive through the mountains. Dinner somewhere you actually want to spend the evening. A Shikara when the lake is quieter. A private experience that feels relevant to you rather than something added because it appears on a honeymoon checklist.

We start by understanding the two of you.

Then we decide what Kashmir should look like around that.

What Kind of Kashmir Do the Two of You Want?

Quiet & Scenic

If you want mountains, valleys and beautiful landscapes, Pahalgam may receive more time and a slower pace.

Mountains & Adventure

If you are drawn to altitude, the Gondola, snow or outdoor experiences, Gulmarg may become a stronger part of the Journey.

Culture & Food

If discovering Kashmir matters as much as seeing it, we can slow down in Srinagar for food, crafts, heritage, markets and local experiences.

Winter & Snow

If snow is part of the reason you're coming, the Journey can place greater emphasis on Gulmarg and suitable seasonal experiences, depending on conditions.

Slow & Romantic

Perhaps you do not want a packed itinerary. You want beautiful surroundings, comfortable stays, relaxed evenings and enough unplanned time to enjoy being together.

Memories & Photography

If photographs and beautiful settings matter, we can think about timing, landscapes, light and locations rather than simply adding "photo spots".

You don't have to choose one. These simply help us understand what matters to the two of you.

What Are You Travelling For?

Honeymoon

Your first Journey together should feel personal rather than pre-scripted.

Looking specifically for honeymoon planning? See Honeymoon Kashmir →

Anniversary

A chance to slow down, reconnect and celebrate somewhere beautiful.

Birthday or milestone

Build the Journey around the person, the occasion and what you both enjoy.

Proposal

Where appropriate, we think through setting, timing, privacy and logistics rather than adding a generic proposal package.

Just the two of you

No occasion required. Sometimes the best reason to travel is simply to spend a few days somewhere beautiful together.

Srinagar: Slow Down Together

Srinagar can be one of the most romantic parts of a Kashmir Journey without trying too hard to be romantic.

The city gives couples the chance to slow down, explore, eat, talk, wander and experience a side of Kashmir that is easy to miss when Srinagar is treated only as an arrival point.

A shikara on Dal Lake in Srinagar

Dal Lake and Shikara

A Shikara ride can become a quiet part of the Journey rather than a compulsory sightseeing activity. Timing matters: light, weather and the mood of the lake can change the experience.

Mughal gardens

Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh and Chashme Shahi can work beautifully for couples who enjoy gardens, architecture, photography and slower walks. The idea is not to tick off three gardens; it is to choose what genuinely fits the couple and the day.

Chai Jaai

Chai Jaai Tea Room, the café seen in the film Laila Majnu, is open through the year and suits couples who want a slower tea-room experience. Its setting by the Jhelum and its focus on Kashmiri tea culture suit a Journey that values conversation, atmosphere and local character. Depending on the current menu and operation, couples may find Kashmiri teas such as noon chai and kahwa. We treat the visit as an experience, not a compulsory restaurant stop.

Books & Bricks

Books & Bricks Café, in the Jawahar Nagar / Iqbal Park area, can suit couples who prefer a relaxed café, coffee and conversation. Its book-themed character makes it different from a conventional sightseeing stop. A couple can simply talk, read, have coffee or take a break from the route.

Downtown Srinagar

For couples who want to understand the city rather than only photograph it, Downtown offers traditional streets, architecture, shrines, local commerce, bakeries, workshops and everyday life. We approach it thoughtfully and respectfully.

Lal Chowk

Lal Chowk offers a look at contemporary Srinagar — shopping, movement, local commerce and the everyday city. For couples interested in how Srinagar actually lives, it can be more interesting than another generic attraction.

Food together

Depending on preferences, the Journey may include Kashmiri cuisine, Wazwan, kahwa, noon chai, bakeries, cafés and contemporary restaurants. The goal is to curate what suits the couple rather than send every couple to the same restaurant.

Crafts and local discoveries

Couples interested in culture may enjoy learning about papier-mâché, carpets, shawls, embroidery and woodwork. Where possible, we focus on understanding the craft and the people behind it, not compulsory shopping.

Pahalgam: More Time, Less Hurry

Pahalgam can be particularly well suited to couples because it rewards a slower pace.

The point is not to spend the whole day moving between viewpoints. It can be about scenery, coffee, a walk, a market, a pony ride, a quiet evening and enough time to enjoy the valley.

The Lidder River flowing through Betaab Valley, Pahalgam

Aru

For couples who want open mountain scenery, meadows and a quieter landscape. In snow it can be difficult to reach, and whether visitors are allowed depends on snow clearance.

Betaab Valley

A scenic experience that can fit naturally into a Pahalgam day, depending on interests and conditions.

Chandanwari

A higher mountain experience that can be difficult to reach in snow. Whether visitors are allowed depends on snow clearance.

Pony riding

For couples who enjoy it, pony riding can become part of the day. It is never a compulsory "romantic activity". If one or both of you are not interested, it does not belong in your Journey.

Pahalgam market

A slow walk through the market can be a nice contrast to the larger sightseeing circuit. Browse local shops, stop for something to eat or drink, and experience Pahalgam as a town rather than only a tourist destination.

Pahalgam Golf Course

For couples interested in golf, or looking for a different way to experience the landscape. The course is open through the year, but playing needs permission, so we confirm it in advance.

Mini Switzerland

A popular local excursion associated with meadow and mountain scenery. Mini Switzerland is optional, so please check with us whether it is open at the time of your trip. It is sometimes closed for security reasons.

Cafés and coffee

Pahalgam is a place where doing less can be the right decision. A coffee break, sitting by the river, walking through town or returning to the hotel early can be more memorable than another excursion. Where current operations make it suitable, local cafés or coffee options can be considered, once we have confirmed they are operating at the time of travel.

Gulmarg: Mountains, Snow and Shared Experiences

The Gulmarg Gondola above snowy slopes

Gondola

For couples excited by altitude and mountain views, the Gondola can be a highlight. Tickets can be bought at the counter or online. In peak periods, such as winter through June, online booking opens only a day or two before the ride, and the window is announced on the official Gondola website, jammukashmircablecar.com. We usually suggest buying at the counter on the day: the Gondola sometimes pauses for maintenance or weather, and buying on the spot avoids the hassle of refunds on tickets bought in advance. We plan around operating conditions and weather.

Winter

Gulmarg may deserve more time in winter. Depending on conditions and operations, the Journey may include snow experiences, skiing or other seasonal activities, mountain views, Gondola time and photography.

Outside winter

Green landscapes, mountain views, walks, golf and simply enjoying the setting can become the focus.

  • Gulmarg →

Sonmarg: A More Alpine Kind of Romance

Sonmarg can work beautifully for couples who prefer dramatic mountain landscapes over resort-style romance.

Potential experiences include alpine scenery, mountain landscapes, meadows, pony experiences, glacier-related experiences where accessible and seasonal exploration.

It can be a day experience or, if the couple wants a slower alpine stay and practical conditions make sense, an overnight. In snow, whether visitors are allowed depends on snow clearance.

Where You Stay Matters More When You're Travelling as Two

The right stay can change how a couple experiences a destination.

We look beyond simply asking whether a hotel is “5-star”. We consider privacy, atmosphere, views, location, room quality, service, setting, access, season and how the property fits the Journey.

Srinagar

Depending on the couple, we may consider a well-located premium hotel, a boutique-style stay, a property around Dal Lake, a houseboat or a quieter retreat. A couple interested in cafés and city life may prefer access to Srinagar. A couple looking for lake atmosphere may value a different setting.

Pahalgam

The stay should help you slow down. We consider views, privacy, quiet, comfort, access to the valley and whether the property itself is worth spending time in.

Gulmarg

We choose around mountain setting, comfort, access, winter conditions, views and proximity to relevant experiences.

Sonmarg

If an overnight is chosen, accommodation must support the alpine character of the Journey and make practical sense for the dates.

Specific hotels are a current evaluation pool, not permanent inclusions. Availability, pricing, season and your preferences can change the recommendation.

A Romantic Journey Doesn't Need a Romantic Activity Every Hour

A romantic Journey does not need an itinerary full of activities.

Sometimes the most memorable parts are the spaces between them.

A slow breakfast. A scenic drive. An afternoon with nowhere urgent to be. Sitting by a lake. Watching the mountains change in the evening. Coming back to a stay you actually enjoy.

We design the Journey so Kashmir does not take over your time together.

The Journey should create time for the two of you, not consume it.

For a special occasion

Depending on the couple and occasion, we may help think through a special meal, memorable setting, surprise, photography, private experience, proposal timing or birthday and anniversary touches.

The point is relevance. We do not add decorations and activities simply because they appear in a honeymoon template.

One Kashmir Journey Many Couples Enjoy

Illustrative Journey. This is an example, not a fixed itinerary. Your Journey is shaped around your interests, pace, season, accommodation preferences and practical requirements.

Illustrative example — not a fixed honeymoon itinerary. The route below shows one way a 6 nights / 7 days Journey can look. Trip length is only a starting point and can be customised.

  1. Day 1 — Arrive in SrinagarArrive, settle in and let the Journey begin without rushing. Depending on arrival time: a Shikara, a garden, a café, a relaxed evening or time at the property.
  2. Day 2 — Srinagar or SonmargCulture, food and cafés → more Srinagar. Mountains and alpine scenery → Sonmarg.
  3. Day 3 — Srinagar to PahalgamMove towards Pahalgam and settle into the valley.
  4. Day 4 — PahalgamA slower day together: Aru, Betaab Valley, Chandanwari, pony riding, the market, coffee, riverside time or simply enjoying the stay.
  5. Day 5 — Pahalgam to GulmargMove towards Gulmarg.
  6. Day 6 — Gulmarg to SrinagarExperience Gulmarg according to season and the couple's interests before returning to Srinagar.
  7. Day 7 — DepartureLeave Kashmir without turning the final day into a race.

Your Journey may look different.

More Srinagar. More Pahalgam. More Gulmarg. An overnight in Sonmarg. A slower itinerary. A stronger food and café focus. A winter-heavy Journey.

The two of you decide what matters.

Your Kashmir, Depending on When You Come

  • Spring: gardens, flowers, softer landscapes and slow city experiences.
  • Summer: green mountains, longer days, outdoor exploration and comfortable evenings.
  • Autumn: changing foliage, photography and a quieter seasonal atmosphere.
  • Winter: snow, Gulmarg and mountain experiences, depending on conditions.

The season does not simply change the weather.

It changes what kind of Journey makes sense.
