This is the package we've been running since 2014 and it remains our most booked, most loved tour. Seven days gives you enough time to actually settle into Kashmir — to stop rushing, to have a slow morning on the Dal Lake, to sit in a meadow in Gulmarg without watching the clock.
You'll cover all four major destinations: Srinagar's Dal Lake and old city, Gulmarg's gondola and meadows, Pahalgam's Betaab and Aru valleys, and Sonamarg's glacier road. Each place gets a proper day, not a rushed hour.
This package works for families, couples, groups of friends, and solo travelers. It's the one we recommend when someone says "we've never been to Kashmir and we want to see everything."
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrive at Srinagar Airport. Our driver will be waiting with your name board. Transfer to your houseboat on Dal Lake — settle in, have kahwa tea on the deck, and let Kashmir sink in. Evening shikara ride as the sun sets over the lake.
Full day exploring Srinagar. Morning visit to the Mughal Gardens (Nishat, Shalimar, Chashme Shahi). Afternoon in the old city — Hazratbal Shrine, Jama Masjid, and the narrow lanes of the old market where you'll find the best Pashminas and saffron.
Drive to Gulmarg (56km, ~90 min). Ride the gondola to Phase 1 — the views from 2,650m are extraordinary in every season. Free time to explore the meadow, take pony rides, or simply walk in the mountains. Return to Srinagar by evening.
Drive to Pahalgam (95km, ~2.5 hrs). Visit Betaab Valley — walk to the far end for the best views. Then head to Aru Valley, quieter and greener, with the river running through it. Lunch at a riverside dhaba. Overnight in Pahalgam.
Morning ride up to Baisaran meadow (the "Mini Switzerland") — either by pony or on foot. Wide open grassland ringed by fir forests with the peaks visible on clear days. Afternoon at leisure in Pahalgam town. Drive back to Srinagar in the evening.
Drive to Sonamarg (87km, ~2 hrs) — the road follows the Sindh River through dramatic mountain scenery. Visit Thajiwas Glacier by pony or on foot. The glacier sits in a natural bowl above the valley — even in summer you're walking on snow. Return to Srinagar by evening.
Morning free for a last walk along the Dal Lake shore or a final chai on the houseboat deck. Our driver will transfer you to Srinagar Airport or Railway Station in time for your departure. Safe travels — Kashmir will miss you.
