Spring (March to May) is the most magical time to visit Kashmir. The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar — Asia's largest tulip garden with over 1.5 million tulips in 68 varieties — erupts into a breathtaking tapestry of colour. Cherry and almond blossoms frame the Dal Lake, and the Mughal gardens are in their full, fragrant splendour.

Temperatures are mild (8°C–22°C), the crowds are manageable, and the Valley is at its photogenic best. This package captures all of it — the gardens, the blossoms, the mountain meadows of Gulmarg, and the verdant valleys of Pahalgam.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1Arrive Srinagar — Tulip Garden Visit

Arrive at Srinagar Airport. Private transfer to your hotel. After check-in and freshening up, head straight to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden — Asia's largest, with over 1.5 million tulips across 68 varieties in full bloom. Evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake framed by cherry blossoms.

Day 2Mughal Gardens, Cherry Blossoms & Shikara

Visit Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh — the grand Mughal gardens in their spring splendour, surrounded by blooming flowers and Himalayan backdrops. Walk the Bund (Dal Lake promenade) lined with chinar and cherry blossom trees. Afternoon extended Shikara ride through the floating vegetable gardens and lotus channels of Dal Lake.

Day 3Gulmarg — Spring Meadows

Drive to Gulmarg (56 km). In spring, Gulmarg's meadows are carpeted with wildflowers and the snow begins to melt. Take the Gulmarg Gondola for panoramic views. Enjoy the crisp mountain air with a picnic lunch in the meadows. Return to Srinagar by evening.

Day 4Pahalgam — Green Valleys

Full-day drive to Pahalgam (95 km). In spring, the valleys are lush green with the Lidder River running full and clear. Visit Betaab Valley and Aru Valley — some of the most photogenic landscapes in Kashmir. Horse riding (optional) through pine forests. Return to Srinagar.

Day 5Sonamarg & Local Markets

Day trip to Sonamarg — the Meadow of Gold. In spring, the area is dramatically transitioning from snow to green. En route stop at local Kashmiri spice and saffron markets. Visit the Thajiwas Glacier viewpoint. Return to Srinagar for last evening of shopping — Pashmina, saffron, and handicrafts.

Day 6Departure

Morning at leisure. Post-breakfast check-out. Private transfer to Srinagar Airport. Tour concludes with beautiful spring memories of the Kashmir Valley.
